Since 2015, John has received various Top Producer, Five Star & Honors Society Awards for his exceptional representation of Buyers & Sellers. Before joining Engel & Völkers, John was a founding member of an Amelia Island real estate team recognized for achieving the top 1% of Agents in the company worldwide.

Originally from southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio, John graduated from the College of Wooster with a study-semester immersed in Art & Architecture, Economics and German at the Institute of European Studies, Vienna, Austria. At Wooster, he was a Nationally Ranked Collegiate Tennis Player and President of the Student operated Investment Club.

After College, John lived on Hilton Head Island, SC and traveled throughout the United States and Caribbean to notable Resort and Club properties training tennis Teachers & Coaches and presenting at industry conferences. For over 25 years he held various leadership positions with the US Tennis Association including a term as Vice-Chairman of the USTA National Tennis Center Committee (home of the US OPEN). While living in Virginia, John served as a two-term President of USTA Mid-Atlantic, directed nationally award-winning programs at Country Club & Public tennis facilities and owned a USTA Professional Women’s Tournament nationally recognized for its partnership with the Girl Scouts. He received the Lifetime Achievement award of PTR International Master Tennis Professional (1 of 56 Members in PTR’s Registry of over 16,500 Coaches in 130 countries).

John and his wife Linda enjoy their coastal lifestyle as Oyster Bay Harbour residents. When not working, John plays tennis and golf at local clubs and enjoys inshore, surf & fly-fishing area waters. Together they enjoy supporting annual Amelia Island events (such the Concours d’Elegance Car Show), planning travel trips and gathering with family & friends in Historic Fernandina Beach.
